Preparation of the crumble:
- Put all the dry ingredients in a bowl, mix, then add the cold butter cut into small cubes.
- Rub the mixture quickly between your fingers until it forms coarse crumbs.
- Set aside in the refrigerator while you prepare the apples.
Preparation of apples :
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- Cut the apples into medium-sized cubes and place them in a large bowl.
- Add the remaining ingredients and mix gently to coat the apples evenly.
- Place them in your baking dish, pressing down lightly to ensure they are roughly the same thickness throughout.
5. Cover with the crumble mixture, spreading it evenly, cover with aluminum foil (to prevent it from browning too quickly), and bake for 20 minutes at 350°F. After 20 minutes, remove the aluminum foil and continue baking for about 30 minutes until the crumble is golden brown.
6. Let cool for 10-15 minutes before serving with heavy cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream topped with La Patelière salted butter caramel with Madagascar Bourbon vanilla.
