Apple, chocolate, and crumble muffins

INGREDIENTS

Ingredients for the crumble:
75 g butter
75 g brown sugar
150 g T55 flour
1 pinch ground cinnamon
1 pinch salt

Ingredients for the muffins:
2 apples
100 g La Patelière 3-chocolate chunks
285 g T55 flour
2 teaspoons La Patelière baking powder
1/2 teaspoon La Pateliere baking soda
110 g brown sugar
50 g powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 medium eggs
110 g heavy cream
80 g sunflower oil
160 g whole milk

Top tip

You can add La Patelière salted butter caramel or chocolate topping on top for an extra indulgent treat.

Let's get baking!

Preparation of the crumble :

In a small bowl, mix the ingredients together. Set aside in the refrigerator until the muffins are ready to bake.

Preparation of apple chocolate muffins :

  1. Wash, peel, and cut the apples into small cubes and set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, sift the flour, baking powder, and baking soda. Add the brown sugar, sugar, and salt, and mix.
  3. Mix together the liquid ingredients: eggs, cream, oil, and milk.
  4. Pour them over the dry ingredients and stir gently with a spatula until the flour is almost incorporated.
  5. Add the apple cubes and La Patelière 3-chocolate chunks, stir.

6. Preheat your oven to 210°C and line your muffin tin with paper cases.

Fill the cases almost to the top.

7. Cover with a generous amount of crumble and bake for 5 minutes at 210°C. After 5 minutes, lower the temperature to 180°C and continue baking for 15 minutes.
