Tuiles aux amandes are easy-to-make biscuits that are the perfect accompaniment to a cup of tea or coffee, or to add a touch of sophistication to a cake or dessert.

INGREDIENTS

Almond tuiles::
60 g egg whites

40 g sugar

60 g flour

30 g melted butter

La Patelière organic flaked almonds

Top tip

to create the classic curl, shape them around your rolling pin when you remove the tuiles from the oven.

Let's get baking!

1. Recipe for tuiles aux amandes:

Preheat the oven to 180°C.

Lightly beat the egg whites until they start to foam. Add the sugar, flour and melted butter (make sure the butter is not too hot).

On a baking tray lined with baking paper, place a teaspoonful of the mix and flatten out thinly. Sprinkle with the flaked almonds. Bake in batches of six.

Bake for 6-8 minutes just until the edges are slightly browned.

Using a spatula, place the tuiles on the rolling pin to create the classic curl. Leave to cool completely before removing them from the rolling pin.
